Here’s an interesting stat from the Daily Mail: The average age of an Action Star is now 48 years old.
But an analysis of action films over the last two decades has revealed a growing trend for older stars, with the average age of a star reaching 48 in the first six months of this year.
That’s the same age as Vin Diesel, star of the second highest grossing film of 2015 so far, Furious 7.
That’s really interesting. My supposition is, that there just aren’t any millennial stars who can convincingly play a tough guy. In fact, the entire Millennial generation seems devoid of tough guys. Marvel Comics has yet to pen the Vegan Boy series. James Bond would appear ridiculous if he insisted that his vodka martini was Gluten-Free, and Rambo should never have to concern himself with a trigger warning.
