The recent sit-in on the floor of the House may not have earned the reaction the protesters were aiming for.
After the Senate voted down a gun bill, a bunch of Democrats staged a sit-in, something that hasn’t happened in this country, since long before these people started taking their arthritis medicine.
The sit in lasted 25 hours. presumably because there was no one there to help them back up. That’s probably why Democrat front runner Hillary Clinton was only there in spirit. I’m fairly certain she couldn’t even get down. At recent appearance, the Press was not allowed to watch her board the campaign plane, speculations are they pulled her up in a wheelchair.
The protest was reminiscent of my niece, who recently staged a “sit-in” at Target, when her mom wouldn’t buy her a new Barbie®.
What was funny was the amount of empty seats that were available. It made them appear even more childish. It’s beneath the dignity of a Representative. Oh… wait a minute. They’re Politicians. Scratch that.
The crux of the issue is Due Process, It’s a Constitutionally guaranteed right. This bill would have eliminated Due Process rights for anybody on a super secret list, which is why the ACLU opposed it.
The ironic thing is, Rep. John Lewis had been mistakenly put on the No-Fly list once.
According to his office, the Georgia Democrat had over the course of a year been held up 35 to 40 times. Despite reaching out to a number of federal agencies over that period, Lewis’ name had remained on a list.
And here he is demanding that Due Process rights be revoked for anyone on the same list. It’s almost like seeing Rosa Parks standing in front of a schoolhouse door.
They were protesting their own party if you consider they voted down the Republican bills too..
I wonder who went in and helped all those dinosaurs get back up.
Those silly Democrats.
Because continuing to allow whack jobs to buy assault weapons is such good public policy. Be sure you are packing when you do your comedy show, Tim Slalge so you can return fire..
One of their favorite questions reframed:
Why did Rosa Parks really NEED to sit in the front of the bus ?
Dave, if we could isolate “whack jobs” just by creating a super secret list, your argument might have merit. Evidence has demonstrated that the Federal Government is no better at creating such a list, as they were at building a Health Insurance website.
